I really admired the playful natures, sexy feminine shapes, and diversity in this show. There’s nothing that personally caught my eye as anything inspiring. But I really liked the playful, almost childlike, ‘afraid of growing up’ feel to some of the clothes. The use of colour palette, textile, pattern cutting and shape were really modern and sophisticated despite the youthfulness of the designs.
But here was the highlight of day 2.
A family friend of mine, Anna managed to score a couple of tickets to the Rihanna for River Island collection show through some colleagues. She invited me along to the show, which was amazing, saw a couple of celebrities! Saw a few people from Made in Chelsea, met Vince Kidd, and even managed to see model Cara Delevingne. People who had being queuing up for previous shows around me seemed to be buzzing for the event, so it reached it’s expectations! The only thing I regret is drinking far too many free cocktails! It was not worth the hangover!
Here are some of the highlights from the show…
